You have no idea how excited I am that today is here.
I’ve only been waiting for it since, I don’t know, August.
Today marks the LAST DAY OF WORK for me for the rest of this year. That’s fun to say. No more work this year! And what’s even better, it’s a half day of school so I should make it home before 3:00 today. Pure bliss, I tell you.
On top of my excitement about the last day of work (FOR THE WHOLE YEAR), I’m also incredibly excited that I found some serious Christmas inspiration gold this week – I’m obsessed with all of the things I have to share today!
This amazing little tree is made out of dryer sheets. Seriously – DRYER SHEETS, people! It doesn’t get much easier than that. I love the frilly, floaty look and I’m a sucker for anything involving trees when it comes to Christmas decorations. If we weren’t a mere 9 days away from Christmas (side note: holy crap! Nine days?!) I’d probably try this out for myself!
Corey and I dabbled in outdoor lighting and decorations for our house this year, but we didn’t get to do nearly as much as we would have liked. I’m hoping next year we can step it up a bit and have something as beautiful as this – I absolutely adore the miniature trees next to the door, and I love how the entire entryway glows with wonderful, beautiful Christmas lights. The adorable dog sitting in the doorway helps, too, of course.
I think it’s safe to say that we’ve established that I have a thing for pine cones. These two photos are just two more amazing examples of all the wonderful things you can do with them. I haven’t had the heart to spray paint or glitter-ify any pine cones yet, but I’m thinking that I’m going to have to try it out at some point because that wreath is just too gorgeous to pass up. And the pine cone centerpiece? I die!
Most amazing mantle I’ve seen this year? This one is quite possibly it. I’m obsessed (OBSESSED) with those stockings, and I am in love with anything shiny and glittery in Christmas decor, so the letters on the mantle are right up my alley. I love how eclectic and pieced together this mantle is – it looks so incredibly homey and effortless, but it’s just beautifully done!
I’m kind of obsessed with anything that Centsational Girl does, so it should come as no surprise that I had to wipe drool off my keyboard when she posted about her Christmas tree. I’m head over heels in love – the color of the tree, the red ornaments, the bucket it’s sitting in – all absolute perfection.
I can’t believe there are less than ten days left until Christmas – and I only get to do one more Christmas edition of Friday finds! I’ve loved being able to scope out all of the Christmas-y goodness out there, and I’m going to be so sad when Christmas is over and I have to wait a whole year for it to happen again!
So, tell me, are you ready for Christmas? There aren’t a lot of shopping days left – are you finished with your gift buying, or do you feel like we need a few more weeks before Christmas arrives?
