  1. That paint looks awesome! I can’t wait to see the tile go in. Keep rocking it!

  2. Paint the medicine cabinet the same color as the walls – definitely.

    1. Thanks, Holly! That’s what I decided on! 🙂

  3. It’s looking good! Love the white walls. I am a huge fan of Behr paint too. It always covers so nice and goes on so easily.

  7. A bathroom is a huge undertaking, looks like you have your hands full! I love the paint, it looks amazing and I can’t wait to see the rest! As for the medicine cabinet I would either paint it the same as the walls so it blends, or take off the door and have some open recessed shelves in there (if that’s possible!).

  8. Such good progress Amanda! And I know firsthand how miserable backerboard can be – I’m impressed you did so much of it in one weekend!! Can’t wait to see more…

    1. It’s awful! I was determined to just knock it out as fast as possible. Now if only we could finish the tile…haha

  9. Great progress! We are working on a master bathroom too. You are making me nervous I don’t walls in my shower yet! Can’t wait to see your space evolve!

    1. Installing the backerboard is the worst part! Once that’s done, it’s smooth sailing in comparison. We’ve been tiling our butts off all week and it’s exhausting by way more rewarding!

  10. Seems like your ceilings are quite high in this bathroom. I love that! Glad that you found paint that works so well! Looking forward to seeing this room get transformed!

  11. It all looks amazing! Doesn’t the progress feel great?! I love your little helper too 🙂

  12. Wow you have gotten a lot done!! I thought I had a lot to do in my bathroom but I think you beat me! Can’t wait to see that gorgeous tile in there!

    1. We have gotten a lot done! And we’re EXHAUSTED! I feel like I’m going to need a week-long nap once this challenge is over. 🙂

  13. OH MY! you have such huge project! and you have accomplished so much! I love the tiles choices on the sponsored ad, those tiles are going to be so perfect and creating a gorgeous bathroom.

  14. It’s looking good! Love the paint choice! I’m considering white as well, and I’m pretty sure I’ll be using Behr paint too. It’s one of my favorite brands! 🙂

    1. Thanks! We love how the color turned out, and we’re total Behr converts now! 🙂

  15. This is looking fantastic!! I’m in awe at what you’re doing. I can’t wait to see how it turns out!! Shared!!

    1. Thank you!! It’s exhausting but I know it’ll be worth it in the end.

    1. Thanks, Ashley! I’m super excited to see your room come together too! 🙂

  16. Novel alert!

We are slowly but surely painting our living room using Behr paint! The sellers painted the entire house a neutral beigey-yellowy color. Not terribly offensive, but still not my cup of tea. So far, we’ve done one wall in a nice sage green and the other walls will be a more “greige” color…I think it’s called Merino Wool. The difference is subtle, but so wonderful. And we did an entire side of the room with less than half a gallon of paint!

Re: medicine cabinet: I would totally paint the trim of it the white color of the walls, then replace the panel inside the door with frosted glass (or plexiglass!). This blogger has a super easy tutorial. The frosted look would keep it discrete. http://www.confessionsofaserialdiyer.com/how-to-add-glass-to-cabinet-doors/

    1. Jamie! I LOVE that idea! Girl, you’re a genius, and what an awesome tutorial. Going to chat with Corey about this and see what he thinks – such a cool idea! 🙂

  17. You’ll probably disagree here, but I’d just get rid of that cabinet. It’s oddly placed, will stick out too much in the room, and will constantly be in the way of any mirror you put in replacement of the ones that already exist.

You should have plenty of storage space in your vanities, and maybe a cute magnetic sheet board for all your makeup essentials would look better on the wall in it’s place.

    1. I actually don’t disagree with you, Amanda! I don’t know if we have the time during this renovation to patch the wall and all that mess after removing it, but I agree it would be much nicer looking to just get rid of it!

  18. Definitely paint it out the same colour as the wall. Looking forward to next week already!

    1. Phew, okay that’s what I’m thinking too! 🙂

  19. Ooo, giveaway! Yay! I entered 🙂 Sad you didn’t like the black paint in the media room 🙁 but happy to hear you love the space now!

  20. Paint that medecine cabinet white like the walls! or get a flush door and mechanism from Home Depot!
Also, I’m the biggest fan of Behr! Their paint is unbeatable, I only ever use their paint now.

    1. I always love adding that first coat a paint! Your bath is looking good, excited to see your progress.

      1. Makes such a huge difference, doesn’t it?! Thanks!
