Corey and I have at least 5 different projects going on right now, and I’m incredibly excited about each of them, but not a single one is anywhere near ready to blog about. We would have finished one or two this weekend, but we were gone all weekend and by the time we got home on Sunday afternoon there was just no time to crank anything out. So, instead of sharing a project we actually accomplished this weekend, I’m going to share with you a few of my favorite Pinterest projects that I’m dying to tackle (and one or two of them might even be among the projects we’re taking on right now!)
I have a huge (HUGE) thing for succulents (even if I can’t seem to keep ’em alive) and this frame is right up my alley! I’m determined to learn more about gardening and to actually make our backyard look nice (and, you know, have some plants in it) so this would be a perfect way to get my feet wet in the gardening world without a ton of commitment. And look how cute it is!
I’ve been looking for a good library card catalog for months now to put in our entryway, but of course all of the ones I find are thousands of dollars. This is such a cute (and cheap!) way to achieve the same look on a much smaller scale. I’m always blown away by what you can accomplish with products bought at Ikea!
This photo is so inspiring to me, because Corey and I have begun talking about and planning for what we want to do in our tiny little powder room, and this is such a great reminder that we don’t have to be scared of doing something dramatic, even though it’s a tiny room. This bathroom is obviously very small, but the bold and graphic wallpaper completely makes the room, and it’s such a unique look! We probably wouldn’t put wallpaper in that room because I can’t imagine it’s easy to keep wallpaper nice and clean in a bathroom, but I’m seriously leaning towards the idea of a dark, bold color on the walls rather than playing it safe and doing something light!
I’m in love with this twine-looking light fixture from West Elm, and DIY tutorials for them are popping up all over the internet! I love the texture it adds to the room, and it would be such an easy project to take on. This is definitely a light fixture that could work in any room – it would be perfect hanging above a bed or a dining room table, and a few smaller ones would look great hanging above a kitchen island. I’m definitely a fan of this one.
This is another one of those projects that is all over the place right now, but I can’t help loving it. Painting the bottom of your wooden spoons is such a simple idea, but I love how fun and unexpected it is! This is a little touch that not many people would ever actually see in your home, but I know that I’d be a lot more excited about cooking if I had tools this cute to use.
I love our gallery wall, but I’ve been wanting to upgrade it a bit to something more organic and natural feeling like this one. I love the mix of photographs, art prints, and other random things as well as the mixture of different textures and colors for the frames. I’d love to fill in our gallery wall a bit with some objects and other art prints (it’s looking a bit sparse for my tastes) as well as switch out a bunch of the frames so they aren’t all white.
That’s what’s been inspiring me on Pinterest lately! What have you been inspired by this week? I promise after this weekend Corey and I will actually finish some of the projects we’re working on and I’ll post about them next week, but in the meantime – which of the ones above do you think is a project we’re actually doing right now?
