Looking for some inspiring DIY knock off projects from stores like West Elm, Crate & Barrel, and Anthropologie? This post has 9 great ideas for you!
For some reason, right around this time of year I always get a bit itchy for some new decor around my house. Everything feels so fresh and different with the new year, and that means I start thinking of how I can capture that feeling and transfer it to my house. I always find myself doing a lot of window shopping and dreaming of changes I can make to our home.
I love drooling over the gorgeous furniture and decor at places like West Elm, Crate & Barrel, or Anthropologie…but let’s be real – I can’t afford to actually shop for my furniture at those places on a regular basis! So, for a bit of inspiration, I decided to round up nine awesome tutorials for achieving the look on a small budget. Enjoy!
Home Decor Knock Off Project Ideas
{1} This DIY Anthropologie knife block from Bigger Than the Three of Us is such a great solution to the question of “how in the world do I store my knives in a way that isn’t totally ugly?” I’m loving how this looks, and it’s so simple to make!
{2} I created this DIY West Elm inspired tiled dresser a few years back, and it’s one of my favorite projects to date. It’s a little labor-intensive, but definitely easy enough for beginners to make. And, let’s be honest, it’s GORGEOUS!
{3} I’ve always had a major crush on this DIY West Elm inspired chevron bed from Jen Woodhouse. I love the texture the chevron pattern gives to the bed, and it has such a classic feel to it. I’d love a bed like this in my room!
{4} I’m always looking for new things for my tabletop, and these DIY Pottery Barn inspired placemats from City Farmhouse are stunning! I haven’t ever thought to make my own placemats, but what a great idea! Plus, they look simple to make which is always a bonus for me.
{5} Can you even handle how gorgeous this DIY reclaimed wood buffet from Place of My Taste is? I’m in LOVE. I also have to appreciate the fact that it’s an IKEA hack – basically my favorite category of DIY projects!
{6) I’ve always been in love with rope mirrors, and this DIY Restoration Hardware inspired rope mirror from Apartment Therapy is no exception. Gorgeous, affordable, and so easy – the trifecta of awesome!
{7} This DIY One Forty-Three inspired swing arm lamp from Deuce Cities Henhouse is so pretty! I always love DIY lamp and lighting projects, and this one is so beautiful.
{8} Y’all – this DIY West Elm inspired sharpie rug from Mountain Modern Life. Sharpie. Rug. Genius! I am so curious about this project, I can’t even handle it. What a great idea!
{9} And finally, I love this DIY West Elm inspired bench from Home Made by Carmona. The West Elm version is one of my favorite benches of all time, and this DIY is fabulous!
