Our little superhero is soon to have a sidekick!
I’m so excited to tell you that we’re finally growing our little family of three into a family of four. We’ve been getting questions about when we would add to our family for years now, and now that we’re settled into our new home, have paid off all of our debt, and are truly hitting our stride with me being a full-time blogger, the time was finally right.
I’m sure you have a few questions, so I thought I’d do a quick Q&A today to answer some that I know are coming!
When are you due?
I’m due at the beginning of September, and I’m currently 16 weeks pregnant.
How are you feeling?
Better – finally. This pregnancy has been significantly more rough on my body than my pregnancy with Jackson. I felt sick pretty much 24/7 for the first three months, and it’s slowly starting to taper off. I still get a wave of nausea most evenings (at the exact same time!), but that’s starting to fade away as well. I’m at a point now where I at least feel like I can function at a semi-normal level, so I’m definitely not complaining!
Do you know what you’re having? Will you find out?
We don’t know what we’re having yet, but will be finding out in just a few short weeks! Our anatomy ultrasound is scheduled for the first week of April, so you know I’ll keep you updated once we know more.
Have you planned the nursery yet?
Not at all! We’ve been so focused on getting Jackson’s room complete lately that we really haven’t put any thought into what we want this baby’s nursery to look like (we have a few general ideas, but nothing specific!). We also agreed that we want to wait until we know the baby’s sex before we dive too deep into planning. We leaned pretty gender-neutral when we were designing Jackosn’s nursery, but this time around we’re thinking we’d like to know what we’re having before we make any decisions.
I’m just so thrilled to finally be able to share this news with you, and I can’t wait to share more as we go along. Let me know if there’s anything specific you’re curious about!
