WALLPAPER HANGING TIPS

Hanging wallpaper may be really overwhelming, but it doesn't have to be! Here are some quick and simple tips for how to hang wallpaper for beginners.

Hanging Wallpaper

Lay out your wallpaper strips and line them up on the floor before cutting the wallpaper. It's much easier than lining it up on the wall, and you're likely to end up with more accurate cuts!

TIP #1: PLAN AHEAD

Start in a corner and measure out the width of your wallpaper minus one inch. Make a mark on your wall at that point, then use your level to help you draw a straight line all the way down the wall. Use this line for your first strip!

TIP #2: FIRST STRIP IS KEY!

With most patterns, it's hard to get the final piece to line up. Plan so that you end in a less-seen corner and line it up the best you can!

TIP #3: END IN A CORNER!

If you have textured walls, stick to traditional wallpaper over peel and stick. It's more durable, and will last longer!

TIP #4: TEXTURED WALL TIPS

Always prime before installing wallpaper. It gives you a better surface for adhesion, and makes removal easier!

TIP #5: DON’T FORGET TO PRIME!
