Here's a look at how I painted my kitchen island black for an entirely new look in the space!
Our white kitchen felt a little bland and one-note to me. It needed some drama! So, I decided to make some simple changes.
I started by adding shiplap to the back of the island. This protects the drywall from dings from kid feet, and adds some visual interest!
Then, I painted the whole thing black. Painting the cabinetry black as well really helped ground the island and make the room feel more intentional.
A black kitchen island is a great way to get some warmth into an otherwise all-white space, and it hides dirt better too!
