PAINTER'S TAPE TIPS

Painter's tape is typically used to protect things you don't want painted when re-painting a room, like baseboards, the ceiling, or other trim.

When do you need it?

Work in small sections of 18-24" at a time and press the tape fully to the surface, making sure it adheres entirely.

How do you apply it?

You can prevent bleeding with painter's tape by painting the base color over your tape prior to adding a new color...

What about bleeding?

That way, if there is any bleed-through, it's in the base color! Caulk is also a great way to "seal" your tape.

Bleeding, continued

Painter's tape should be removed once the paint has dried. You can run a razor blade along the edge first to prevent pulling up any paint with it!

When should I remove it?
