The Best Gifts for Dad – 2026 Father’s Day Gift Guide
Need some ideas for the best Father’s Day gifts for dad? I’ve got you covered! Here’s my 2026 Father’s Day gift guide
I really enjoy getting creative when it comes to celebrating my husband for Father’s Day. We never go super over-the-top, but I’ve had fun trying a few different things over the years. One year, I gave him envelopes to open all week with little activities and treats I knew he’d enjoy. I always make a video with our kids where they answer questions about him and share some sweet words. It’s nothing crazy or elaborate, but it’s always just so fun to shower him with love, whether there’s a physical gift involved or not.
I always take gifting pretty seriously for this sort of thing – I’m a big believer that it doesn’t need to be expensive, but it does need to be thoughtful. I want to pick gifts that will make them feel seen, and that they’ll use often. So, whether you’re shopping for a partner, a dad, a grandfather, or just a father figure that you know and love, hopefully you find some options you like here!

Father’s Day Gift Ideas
- Mini Projector – Most of the dads I know love trying out new gadgets and technology. I got one of these for Corey this past Christmas, and he loves it so much. We use it all over the place!
- Eye Massage Mask – I got this for Corey a few years ago, and he loves it. It’s so great if you’ve got a headache or just want a super relaxing nap. I’ve stolen it a time or two and it’s so incredibly relaxing.
- Contour Gauge Tool – Basically any DIYer could use one of these. It’s perfect for unique or challenging cuts and it’s been on my “need to buy” list for a long time!
- Back Massage Seat Cushion – Plop it in his favorite chair in the house, turn on a good movie or documentary, and tell him to close his eyes for a nice little nap. It’ll be the best Father’s Day gift ever.
- Dad, I Wrote a Book About You – It would make any parent’s year to get a book like this filled out from their kids!
- Cozy House Shoes – I don’t know a grown-up who doesn’t love a good pair of house shoes, and these really just scream “dad” to me.Ergonomic Pillow – I haven’t tried this thing but I hear nothing but rave reviews about it, and I don’t think there’s a dad (or mom, honestly) alive who isn’t a fan of a good night’s sleep.
- Folding Hand Truck – We have one of these and we use it constantly. It is such a convenient thing to help heavy things around the house, and I love that it can convert into a flat hand truck too!
- Dad Joke Button – More than fifty groan-inducing jokes at the push of a button! Dad’s gonna be thrilled.
- Wireless Meat Thermometer – Corey lives and dies by his meat thermometer. He loves it for grilling and when he cooks dinner, and he’s passionate enough about it that we’ve given one as a gift to multiple different people!
- Handheld Massage Gun – It’s super affordable, works great (we have one!), and he can spend all weekend making the kids give him massages.
- Cordless Electric Screwdriver: He’ll be so happy to have this sitting in his tool chest. And so will anyone who lives with him – these little things are so handy.
- NYT Strictly Medium Crossword Puzzles – Pair it with a new mug and a good cup of coffee and gift him a few hours to work on it in peace.
- Bug-A-Salt Gun – Corey bought one of these a couple of years ago and he LOVES shooting flies with it. I got one for my brother-in-law for Christmas and he texted me the first time he used it raving about how much fun it was. Trust me, dudes love this thing.
- Flip7 Card Game – This is one of our most-played family games. It only takes a few minutes to play and it’s so addictive. If dad loves a family game but doesn’t want to commit to anything long, this is a great one!
- Dungeon Crawler Carl – If he hasn’t read it yet, I can basically guarantee he’s going to love it. If he doesn’t love a physical book, grab him an Audible subscription because the audiobooks are absolutely unmatched.
- A stylish wood frame + a picture of him with the kids – Because, that’s really all he wants anyways.
Other Father’s Day Gift Ideas
Need some other thoughts for how to make dad feel special? Here are a few other ideas for you:
- Plan a day just for him. We like to take Corey to the movies, play some board games, and do his favorite takeout for dinner. It’s simple and it’s focused completely on him and the things he loves. Click here for some family board game ideas!
- Make a video. I make one each year interviewing the kids about Corey, along with a few pictures of them together. It’s so special to look back on and I always get so excited to share it with him.
- A Chatbooks Subscription is perfect for grandpa! We gave one to my mom for Mother’s Day, years ago and they both loved it so much that we’ve just renewed it every year since. A digital picture frame is also always a win – my mom got this one from my sister.
- Have the kids make a coupon book. Include all the things he loves to do with them, plus a few “get out of X chore free” coupons. It’s sweet, free, and the kids will love coming up with ideas.
- Write a sweet note. In the end, most dads I know are just like us moms – they just want to be appreciated. Giving him a day of rest or some special gifts is great, but so is taking the time to find a cute card and writing a really special note inside. It’s sure to make him feel loved and I bet he’ll save it to re-read over and over.
