Love the look of wood lanterns at Christmastime (or anytime), but don't want to shell out a ton of money? Here's a really simple approach to building them yourself!

Start by building two squares for the top and bottom of your lantern.

Add your taller pieces to the four corners (my lanterns are 18", 12" and 8" tall!)

Add a square base to the bottom of the lantern, and you're done!
