Our 2021 Christmas Cookie List
If you’ve been around for a while you’ll know that every year around this time I turn into Buddy the Elf.
I want all the sugar. I can’t stop talking about Santa, Christmas, and all things holiday. I sing Christmas carols all day. I get a little clingy with the people I love.
I just can’t help it. It’s who I am.
All week over on Instagram, we have been talking about some of our favorite Christmas traditions – I tried to share a few that you may not have tried before, and one of my absolute favorites is COOKIE DAY!
What’s Cookie Day, you ask?
Every year, right around Christmas, we spend an entire day (THE ENTIRE DAY) baking cookies. We mix and stir and decorate until we drop, and then when we’ve created dozens of tasty treats, we package about 3/4 of them up and take them around to drop off at friends’ and neighbors’ houses. We take the rest to snack on for dessert throughout Christmas Eve and Christmas Day!
We also tend to bake a lot in the weeks leading up to Christmas. I typically put one “bake cookies and watch a Christmas movie” card on our advent tree each week, so when all is said and done we end up baking 10-12 different types of Christmas-y treats throughout the month of December.
And I love EVERY SECOND OF IT!
Jackson and I spend a lot of time researching and putting together our Christmas cookie list each year, so I like to share them here. I’ve broken them down into the cookies we plan to make leading up to Christmas and the cookies. we’ll bake on Cookie Day, so you can feel free to bake along with us if you want! As always, I’ll share all the details on my Instagram stories, so be sure to follow along there if you want to drool over all the tasty goodies.
