Beautiful Utilitarian Items {Kitchen Tools}

Favorites· Home

One of my favorite ways to fall a little more in love with my home is to replace one or two small things in my house with something a little more beautiful.

For example, swapping out some old and dingy measuring cups for some that make me smile. Or splurging on all new spatulas or wooden spoons.

It’s a little luxury, but it makes all the difference. For real! It’s something I’ve challenged you to try for years here on the blog, and I’ve decided that over the next few months I’m going dive in and do it with you. So every few weeks, I’ll be sharing a roundup of beautiful utilitarian tools for around your house. We’ll focus on places like the bathroom, the laundry room, and the kitchen, and together we’re going to make our homes just a little bit more beautiful.

Sound like fun?

Today, I’m sharing a roundup of some of the most beautiful (and functional) kitchen items I could find! I didn’t include things like cutting boards or serving dishes, because I feel like that sort of thing is pretty easy to find. Instead, I focused on the things that are super functional in your kitchen. The sort of thing that can be just plain ugly – and often needs to sit out on the counter!

I’ve broken everything down by category below, just click on any item that strikes your fancy and you’ll be taken directly to it!

Measuring Cups + Spoons

Small Appliances + Gadgets

Salt/Pepper Cellars

Kitchen Organization + Cleaning

Other Kitchen Tools + Gadgets

Need some more inspiration for where to start? Here are a few little examples of ways I’ve elevated a few super-functional parts of our kitchen:

  • I refreshed the area next to our stove
  • And also created a super cute little tea corner
  • You can also click here to see all of the organization efforts I’ve put into the kitchen (and elsewhere), which fall into the same category of “focusing on the little stuff”.

It doesn’t have to be anything fancy, but man, it feels good to focus on the little things sometimes!
