The Camper Playhouse Plans {And a Refresh!}
Finally! FINALLY!
Y’all, if you’ve been here a while you’ll know that last year, I built a giant, epic camper playhouse for my kids. It was a mega labor of love and it was one of the most fun projects I’ve tackled in a long time.
Way back when I finished it, I promise you that I’d have detailed plans available for you so you could learn how to build one yourself. And then, life happened. I never released the plans. And it got cold outside and felt a little pointless.
But, spring has arrived and the camper playhouse plans are DONE!
A few updates
if you missed this project, you can click here to see the original reveal (and all the other posts about it). It’s probably the biggest, most elaborate thing I’ve ever built on my own and I’m so proud of how it turned out. The kids still play in it all the time, and it has held up beautifully.
I did go back in at the beginning of spring and screw in a few loose siding boards. I originally only nailed them into place and it turns out that wasn’t the most sustainable option. So, I added screws where boards were popping up. But, other than that I haven’t had to touch it since I finished it!
One thing I want to be better about this year is refreshing the camper throughout the year. I mean, I feel like I missed a major opportunity by not decorating it for Christmas last year!
With all the fun spring stuff hitting the stores right now, I’d like to take a bit of time to freshen things up a little. Maybe a few new outdoor toys, maybe some new throw pillows. Who knows! We’ll see where my heart leads me. We already had a lot of fun adding a rainbow stripe to the inside, so there may be more little changes like that in store in the future!
I’d also like to do some better “landscaping” out front. I think the right side of the door would be a perfect spot for a little shelf with some plants for the kids to take care of. And, I have a few other ideas rattling around in my brain, but we’ll see.
All I know is I’m feeling excited to keep this little area fresh and exciting for the kids, and I think the one year mark is a good time for a few updates!
CAMPER PLAYHOUSE PLANS
Are you ready for the plans?
Now, since this was such a large-scale project and the plans took me literal months to put together, I’m not giving them away for free. I hope you understand.
But, I promise it’s affordable. You can grab the full, detailed plans for the camper playhouse build (complete with measurements, step-by-step directions, and tons of helpful graphs) for just $20. That’s less than half of what similar plans sell for, so it’s a steal!
If you’re interested, grab the plans right here.
You can print them out, use them on your computer or phone, or some hybrid of the two. Personally, I’m a big pen-and-paper person. So, I love having the option of printing out woodworking plans when I use them!
And, as this is my first time making detailed woodworking plans like this, I encourage questions! If you come across any issues while going through the plans, shoot me an email at [email protected]. I’ll do my very best to help you.
This is clearly a very large-scale building project, but I promise you it’s not all that hard. I’d still consider myself very much a beginner woodworker, and I tackled the whole thing with almost no help.
If I can do it, you can too. Promise.
