Stylish and Affordable Organization Options

Do you ever feel like it’s basically impossible to keep your home clean and organized and also have it look good?
Me too.
I’ve talked about organization a time or a thousand here on the blog (I may or may not be obsessed) – you might even consider me an expert.
(That is, until you see my closet. But this post isn’t about that, so let’s just roll with the expert thing for now.)
I love talking about organizing, I adore shopping for organizing tools and baskets, and nothing makes me happier than a newly organized room. Oh, and I’m mildly beyond obsessed with World Market. So, when they asked if I’d help them promote their upcoming Friends & Family event (it’s this weekend!), I figured I’d combine a few of my loves and share some of my favorite storage ideas and organization products from World Market. For the big sale this weekend, they’ve got a whopping 30% off all of their home decor and furniture, and 10% off all food and wine.
Basically, you don’t want to miss this.
We’re about to get a World Market right down the street from us (I’m so excited I can’t even handle it), and I have a feeling that I’m going to be spending an embarrassing amount of money there over the next few months. At least this round of shopping will be on sale, right?
Okay, on to the inspiration! You can click on any of the images in the collage below to be taken directly to the product, or you can click on the product names below as well! Happy shopping! (Also, puh–leaze click on the link for the macrame basket because the larger view of it will blow you mind – it is so stunning!)
Gorgeous (and affordable) baskets and storage:

Okay, let’s break this down.
There are a few obvious choices – everyone knows baskets are perfect for organization. The key, however, is to find stylish and well-made baskets that will act as a piece of decor and not just a place to toss your stuff. Most of the options here have lids, which helps conceal any bulky toys or dirty clothes. Basically, lids mean you can have as much clutter as you want, as long as you remember to put the dang lid on the basket. Easy peasy.
I love all of the seagrass baskets – the pretty color and texture add so much warmth to a room. The macrame basket may just be my favorite, though – that added detail is just absolutely amazing and adds so much to a plain basket. Bottom line here – when you’re looking for baskets to help you keep your home organized, look for more stylish and unique options that will add some extra texture or depth to your room. Plain, boring baskets don’t do anything for your space!
There are some more unusual options here too, though – the apothecary jar, terrarium, and hanging baskets are all things you may not think of when you’re looking for stylish storage, but that’s exactly what makes them work so well. The glass jars are perfect for things that are pretty enough to be seen but still cause clutter – spools of thread, corks, your toddler’s rock collection (just me?), even keys or spare change. The wire basket can (obviously) be used for fruit in the kitchen, but you could also toss it up in your kid’s room for some small stuffed animals, in your bedroom for some air plants or a pretty collection (wood beads would look great!), or even in the bathroom for some fancy bar soaps and hand towels. The possibilities are pretty endless!
Oh, and can we also talk about the glass drying rack? I’m so obsessed – it would look amazing hanging out on the counter, and would save space in the cabinets if you just leave your mugs or glasses hanging out on it all the time. It will add some major charm to your kitchen, save you some space, and doesn’t use a lot of countertop real estate. Win-win-win!
Keeping your home organized and beautiful can feel overwhelming at times, but it totally doesn’t have to. Get creative with the way you store things, hunt a little longer for the prettier baskets, and don’t forget about the power or a lid (or a drawer) in making things look less cluttered.
Be sure to check out your local World Market this Friday through Sunday for the Friends & Family event! You can also check out their website ahead of time to scope out what you want – they’ve got great storage ideas, and I am eyeing a lot of their entertaining essentials right now too. But for starters, I am definitely hitting up the Round Rock World Market this weekend to go hunting for that macrame basket. Get the coupon at worldmarket.com/category/code/
Maybe I’ll see you there?
