Outdoor Dining Sets I’m Eyeing on Amazon
In the last few weeks, I can’t stop thinking about getting a dining table for our back patio. We have a great, large patio and if I’m being honest, we absolutely don’t utilize it all that well.
Part of our problem is that half of it is uncovered. And, our backyard gets full sun all afternoon. And…we live in Texas. So, it’s hot! And it’s hard to get motivated to create a really cute and functional patio dining area if we won’t really use it.
Right after we extended our back patio, we actually did have a dining set back there. The kids used it some but it was metal and sat in full sun all day, so we basically never wanted to sit out there come dinner time. We eventually ended up just selling it because it felt like a waste of space.
Our backyard is far from finished. Someday we envision another patio area that’s lower than the main patio, where we’ll create a grill setup. Then, we’d love to add a big ol’ pergola over the currently open spot and add a beautiful dining set that can be shaded and comfy year-round.
But, right now? I just need something that will work today. With our slightly-crowded patio (thanks to Corey’s insistence on owning two grills), lack of shade, and still-in-flux plans. And that means I need something cheap and low effort. I don’t want to think too hard, I don’t want anything that’s going to be an heirloom piece…I just want a place to park our butts and enjoy some al fresco dinner, you know?!
So, I’ve been doing a lot of browsing on Amazon for cheap patio dining sets. The options are abundant so I’m sharing what I’ve found here with you. I’m hoping you’ll help me make a decision, and maybe by this time next week we can be enjoying some grilled chicken on the patio.
Help a girl out?
Cheap Amazon Patio Dining Sets
Here’s a roundup of what I’ve been eyeing. My absolutely top budget for the table and chairs is $400, but I’ll be thrilled if I can spend even less. Remember, I just want something that will last us a few summers until we do something more permanent.
- 5-Piece Round Patio Set
- Brown 7-Piece Set
- Acacia Wood Dining Set
- 5-Piece Set in Blue (also comes in other colors)
- Wicker Set with Glass-Top Table
- 9-Piece Rattan Set
- 7-Piece Rattan Chairs & Wood Table
- 4-Piece Acacia & Rattan Set
- 5-Piece Rattan Chairs with Acacia Tabletop
- Wood Table & Benches
- 7-Piece Metal Frame Set
- 5-Piece Stackable Chairs Set
- 4-Pack Rattan Chairs paired with…
- Acacia Wood Table
I think any of these would be a great fit for a “for now” option for us. They’re simple, they look perfectly comfy, and they’re cheap. Checks all the boxes!
And, I know you’re thinking about the shade situation. I am too. Currently, I’m tossing around the idea of adding one of these to this side of the patio. We can also do an umbrella if that doesn’t work out, but I’d love something we don’t have to put up and take down every time we want to go out there. I think one of those shades would last us while we save up for a pergola!
Ok, your turn. Which one is your favorite?!
I like 8 & 9, because they’re not metal! I vote yes on the sail shade. You could also park some potted plants in that shade, so they might do better in your extreme heat. Ask me how I know…. Fresno, CA here!
