Tineco iFloor Wet Dry Vacuum Review
I recently bought a Tineco iFloor 5 Wet Dry Vacuum and I wanted to share my detailed review. I’ve always been very opinionated about floor cleaning options, so it should be no surprise I have strong thoughts here!

I take clean floors very seriously. I’ve written a ton of posts over the years about my favorite methods and tools for cleaning floors. So, after recently buying a Tineco iFloor 5 Wet Dry Vacuum for our new house, of course I had to take the time to write up a review.
I’ve been using my Tineco iFLoor for about a month now, and I can say this with my whole chest: I AM OBSESSED. Today, I’m going to take you on a deep dive on how to use it, how to clean it, and why I love it so dang much. If you’ve been considering one, buckle in ’cause I’m about to convince you.
What is the Tineco iFloor?
The Tineco iFloor is a floor cleaner that functions as both a vacuum and a mop. It has a duel tank system that sprays clean water on the floor as you work, then suctions up the dirty water to keep it all separate.
I wouldn’t say that the Tineco functions well enough as a vacuum to fully replace your old one. Especially since it doesn’t work on carpet or area rugs! But, I would say that because of the vacuum functionality, it does a MUCH better job getting floors fully clean than a regular mop. And, if my floors aren’t too dirty and I just want to do a quick clean, it does allow me to skip the step of vacuuming first!

Another thing I’ll note: I often see people sharing the Tineco iFloor as a really quick way to clean up small spills. Personally, I wouldn’t use it for one small mess on the floor. If you want to take good care of your wet dry vac over time, you really need to properly clean it after every use. So, it’s not super practical to bust out just because your kid spilled some cereal on the floor. You know, unless you also take that opportunity to clean the whole kitchen.
That being said, the Tineco iFloor is a fantastic mop for cleaning the entire house. Let’s get into why I love it so much!
Tineco iFloor 5 Video Review
Let’s kick things off with a detailed video review. Sometimes these things are just easier to understand if you can see them in real time!
How to Use the Tineco iFloor 5 Wet Dry Vacuum
Setup for the Tineco iFloor is really simple. You grab the fresh water tank and fill it up with lukewarm water. Then, add a capful of the cleaning solution (I use the Tineco cleaning solution, and it works great).
From there, turn it on and go to town! You should move slowly as you work so the mop pad has time to clean the floors fully. Some messes take an extra pass to get fully clean, but I’ve been amazed at the sticky messes and debris this thing is able to clean up!
It has both an “eco mode” and a “max mode”, so you can preserve the battery if you aren’t dealing with a big mess. I almost always work in max mode because I’m a clean freak, but the eco mode works great and lets the battery last longer!
A Few Other Notes:
- It is cordless, which is both a blessing and a curse. I love how lightweight it is and how I never have to move the plug. But, it obviously does run out of battery! So far, I’ve been able to clean my entire house on one charge. It has about 35 minutes of run time when fully charged.
- The dual tank system is really key to getting super clean floors. It keeps the dirty and clean water separate, and it’s shocking how much cleaner my floors look and feel.
- Make sure to pay attention to the dirty water tank as you work. The vacuum will shut down when it reaches the max level! It’ll also shut down if you run out of clean water. I’ve had a couple of times where I thought the battery was dead, but turns out I just wasn’t paying close enough attention to the tanks.

How Hard is it to Clean?
The cleaning is the part I was the most nervous about. All of the reviews I read before purchasing emphasized how important it is to fully clean the machine after each use. If you don’t, it can get smelly and mildewy! I was worried it would be a big ordeal and make me less likely to want to use it.
Thankfully, it’s a really straightforward process. It only takes about 5 minutes from start to finish, and there’s a self-cleaning mode for the rollers and tubing, which makes it even easier!
I showed the full cleaning process in the video above, but here’s an overview:
- Start by dumping out the dirty water tank and giving it a quick rinse.
- Put the machine back together, make sure the fresh water tank is at least half full, and run the self-cleaning cycle. Note that it needs to be plugged in and on the mat when you do this!
- After that’s done, dump the dirty water tank again. Fully take it apart and remove the filters, rinsing each thoroughly.
- Remove the cover for the roller and rinse it off. Use the included brush to clean out the tube where the water runs, and give everything a quick wipe-down.
- Set it all out to dry and you’re done!
I keep my vacuum in my laundry room, and I have a sink in there. So, it makes it really easy to do it all start to finish right there. The mat that comes with the vacuum even has slots for the roller and filter to dry out!
The cleaning process is a little more intense than your average mop. But, given how much better it works than any other mop I’ve used, I don’t mind one bit.

The Bottom Line
I am officially a Tineco convert, and I’m head over heels in love with my iFloor. It’s the best mop I’ve ever owned and my floors have never felt so clean!
If you’ve been on the fence about trying this guy out, allow me to convince you. It’s worth every penny! You can buy it right here!
