10 Cleaning Supplies I’m Obsessed With
I have a confession for you: I love to clean. Honestly, I do. There’s something about the satisfaction of a freshly-cleaned house that instantly makes all the scrubbing worth it. And I don’t hate the process either – it can be so relaxing! And, as a cleaning lover (goodness, that sounds nerdy), it’s safe to say I take my cleaning supplies very seriously.
I love trying out new cleaning supplies and tools, but over the years I’ve really developed a list of products that I tend to reach for over and over. The best of the best, if you will. And I thought it was about time I put together a list for you of my absolute must-have cleaning supplies. Because, even if you don’t also like cleaning, I promise you’ll love how these make your life a little easier!
My Top 10 Cleaning Supplies List
1. BISSELL TurboClean Carpet Cleaner
I grabbed this guy on a whim last spring because I was sick and tired of dealing with gross carpets upstairs and I needed a quick solution. I’ve been so beyond impressed with it, and I pull it out so much more than I expected to. It does a really fantastic job of deep cleaning the carpets and rugs, and it’s my go-to when there’s a spill or a dog accident.
2. Scrub Daddy Power Paste
I think it’s safe to assume that anyone who uses sponges knows that the Scrub Daddy/Scrub Mommy brand is the absolute best. I’m not a big sponge user, but I decided to try this out last year and was immediately hooked. I use it mostly for cleaning my stovetop, but it’s good for almost any cleaning job in your house.
The sponge is two-sided – one side for really scrubbing and the other for wiping away grime. Combine that with the Power Paste and it makes life so easy. Cleaning the stovetop is one of my most-hated chores, but with this stuff it’s not even really a bother.
3. Microfiber Cloths
I know this isn’t anything brand new or revolutionary, but I use microfiber cloths for everything in my house. I use them to clean our granite counters without leaving streaks. They’re great for cleaning mirrors (especially this set of microfiber cloths meant for glass!). They work on spills and wood tables and just about everything else. I stocked up on these a couple of years ago and drastically cut down on the paper towel usage in our house. They’re a must have in any cleaning collection, if you ask me.
4. Caldrea Countertop Cleaner
I’ll admit, this stuff is stupid expensive for a countertop cleaner. But, the smell alone makes it 100% worth it. I’ve been in love with Caldrea since about 2016 but it wasn’t until last year that I finally decided to switch over and use it full time. It makes cleaning so much more enjoyable, so why wouldn’t I?! My verrry favorite scent is Tangelo Palm Frond, but Sea Salt Neroli is also magical. Honestly, you can’t go wrong.
5. BISSELL Spinwave Mop
This mop is the end-all-be-all best mop ever. I’m very picky when it comes to mops. I don’t want to deal with a bucket of dirty water. There’s no way I’m doing more scrubbing than I have to. I need the mop to do most of the work for me. This one fits the bill perfectly and I’ve been using it for more than four years now!
It rotates and scrubs as you go, which means there’s absolutely no real effort involved on your part. Just use the button to spray the cleaning solution and gently move the mop around. It’s that simple. It gets my floors so clean and the cleaning solution smells fantastic, too.
6. Shark Navigator Vacuum
I’ve had a cordless Shark vacuum for years and I really like it, but over time I realized I needed something a little more powerful. I’m nothing if not brand loyal, so I decided to try out a corded Shark, and ooooh boy am I ever in love. It’s way more powerful than my rechargeable one, and I’m always shocked at how much it pulls up.
This vacuum also makes it really easy and seamless to use attachments, and I love that it’s still really lightweight for a corded vacuum. You know you’ve reached peak adulthood when you’re passionate about a vacuum, and friends, I’m passionate about this vacuum.
7. Clorox UltraClean Toilet Tablets
Cleaning toilets is the worst, right? That’s why I love these guys. Toss one into the tank of your toilet and it basically cleans the toilet for you every time you flush. It requires absolutely zero effort on your part, which is honestly my favorite kind of cleaning product.
Fair warning, it does turn the water in your toilet blue. It freaked my kids out at first, but I kind of love how clean it makes it feel.
8. Mr. Clean Clean Freak Mist
This is my favorite bathroom cleaner because there’s just something about it that really makes it feel like the space is clean. Maybe it’s the way the mist sprays out (it’s incredibly satisfying), maybe it’s the smell, I don’t know. But, I keep this in our powder room and use it for a quick clean before guests come over and it always makes the bathroom feel completely clean in just a couple of minutes!
9. BISSELL Spinwave Robot Vacuum + Mop
The way my mind was blown the first time I used this thing… I can’t even begin to tell you. It’s a robot vacuum that can also mop your floors for you. I’m sure there are other versions of this out there, but I really love Bissell’s products, and this one has been great.
It’s one of the most magical feelings ever to push a button and watch your floors get mopped with literally no effort on your part. It obviously doesn’t do as thorough of a job as I would do myself, so I only use it for mopping when I’m really busy and need a quick solution. But, I run it as a vacuum almost every day – it’s so handy that it can do both!
10. Clorox ToiletWand
And finally, the Toilet Wand! The little tablets are great for day to day cleaning but we all know sometimes you just have to scrub the toilet. I haaaate how gross toilet scrubbers can get – these are the actual best. You just pop a scrubber onto the wand and clean the toilet, then push a button to throw the scrubber part away. It already has cleaner built into it that’s activated once it gets wet. There’s no dripping all over your floor, no nasty scrub brush sitting in your bathroom…it’s the actual best.
And there you have it – the 10 cleaning products I basically can’t live without. I reach for these on at least a weekly (if not daily) basis! I’d love to hear your cleaning favorites, too – drop them in the comments if there’s something amazing that I missed.
