Affordable Ceiling Fans that AREN’T Ugly!
Ohhhh ceiling fans. In my neck of the woods they’re a necessity, even if they aren’t my favorite thing to look at. They’d never be my first choice for any space if I was choosing based on aesthetics, but I basically live on the surface of the sun for 3-4 months of the year, so it’s inevitable. And, as I’ve been working on our upstairs bonus room I’ve found myself spending some time browsing for affordable ceiling fans that aren’t too hard on the eyes.
Because a ceiling fan is feeling like a must but I’m not about to ruin all my hard work with a big ol’ eyesore.
Thankfully, I’ve had really great luck over the years finding ceiling fans that are both affordable and not too terribly ugly. It can be a delicate balance, but it exists! My latest example? The new ceiling fan in our bonus room!
Isn’t is cute? And I love that it doesn’t look like a ceiling fan at all. What a win. I was initially a little worried that it wouldn’t be powerful enough for us, but it pushes out a shocking amount of air. I’ve been so thrilled with it so far!
I’ll admit that I was very hesitant about using a cage fan. I often feel like they look pretty cheesy and I’m just generally unimpressed. But, I really wanted a light that felt like a light and not a fan, so I decided to take a risk. And oh man, I’m glad I did!
I know I’m not the only one who has a need for some non-ugly ceiling fans, so if you’re on the hunt, I’ve got you covered.

I have #5 in our bedroom and have bought it multiple other times throughout the years. It’s a really beautiful option if you need a full-size fan! It’s very, very powerful, it’s quiet, and it’s not an eyesore at all.
Hopefully this gives you a little hope that you aren’t stuck with that ugly, 90’s style fan forever. It’s not too hard to find a really beautiful option that’s functional and pretty and affordable!
