The 2022 Christmas Cookie List
Today is a big day. It’s Christmas Cookie List time, my friends. It’s one of my very favorite posts of the year – it’s the one where I share a big ol’ list of all the fun holiday treats we plan on making.
You see, we take cookies very seriously in our house.
If you’ve been around a while, you’ll know that chocolate chip cookies are kind of a thing around here. We spent over a year working on finding the perfect chocolate chip cookie recipe (it’s this one, if you’re curious), and every year at Christmastime my kitchen basically turns into a bakery.
Cookie Day 2020
Every December, my kids and I spend almost obnoxious amounts of time baking. I make baking cookies a weekly activity on our activity advent calendar, and every December 23rd, we have Cookie Day.
What’s Cookie Day?
Oh, only one of the best days of the entire year.
On Cookie Day, we start baking basically the moment we wake up. The kids generally flutter in and out of helping (because they’re kids), but I spend the vast majority of my day listening to Christmas music and baking.
Once I’m done baking dozens upon dozens of cookies, I package up about 3/4 of them and we go drop them on the porches of our friends and neighbors. It’s so fun to spread a little cheer right before Christmas, and it’s genuinely one of my favorite holiday traditions. The rest of the cookies get packed up and carted around with us for our Christmas festivities over the next few days. My sister and mom always bake quite a few cookies too, and we all stuff ourselves silly on them all throughout Christmas Eve (and Christmas Day).
It’s one of those traditions that just screams Christmas for me, and I look forward to it more than I can tell you every year!

I’m really excited about the list this year. It’s a solid mix of classic favorites (like crinkle cookies and sugar cookies) and new discoveries (like those adorable Santa cookies).
