The Best Gold Cabinet Hardware
Shopping for gold hardware for your home? Me too! Here are some of my favorite gold and brass cabinet hardware options that I’m eyeing right now!

My favorite gold cabinet pulls!
In any bathroom or kitchen makeover, the little details really matter. One of the things I always have the most fun picking out for this kind of space is the cabinet hardware! The knobs and drawer pulls in a room are kind of like the jewelry – they bring everything to the next level and can really elevate a previously-boring space.
I’m preparing to do a “phase one” makeover in my boys’ bathroom – we’ll be painting and zhuzhing and tweaking some stuff here and there, and one of the things I’m currently fixated on is what cabinet hardware I want to use!
I know that I want to use some gold hardware on the cabinets and drawers in there – I’m going for a moody, vintage vibe and gold cabinet hardware makes a space feel so warm and inviting. But, I don’t just want any old gold hardware. It needs to feel special! I’ve been looking for weeks (literally, weeks) and below you’ll see a few of the options I’ve narrowed it down to!
Gorgeous Gold Cabinet Hardware Options for Your Bathroom or Kitchen

- Classic Round Knobs. They’ll never go out of style and they go with anything!
- Vintage-Style Square Cup Pulls. I used these on our built-in dresser in my bedroom!
- Round Fluted Knobs. The texture here is so good, and it’s a classic shape!
- Striped Cup Pull. I love the twist on a super classic option!
- Starburst Knobs. These are bold and fun and would be great in a colorful space!
- Ceramic Leaf Pattern Pulls. Obsessed with these. So charming!
- Round Knobs with Backplate. Probably my current favorite on the list!
- Elegant Vintage-Style Pulls. These are so timeless and will look good in any space.
- White Ceramic Knobs. Another timeless option that leans really vintage and charming.
- Brass Pulls with Backplate. The backplate has my heart.
- Vintage-Style Ring Pulls. A ring pull is always unique and a really fun option!
- Rabbit Pulls. How cute are these? Comes in other animals too!
- Vintage Hand Pulls. I loveeeee and unexpected choice!
- Tassel Pulls. These are a great option if you want to be unique but not hand-pull-unique.
- Oval Vintage Style Pulls. I love the oval shape!
- Textured Handle with Backplate. The texture on these is so good and makes them feel special.
I really love the options with a backplate (it’s so charming!), and I love the ceramic ones too. But, the quirky hand and bunny ones are so cute and unexpected. How will I ever decide?!
I’m just getting started on this makeover and I’ve got a long ways to go, so thankfully I have some time to decide.
How to Choose Gold Cabinet Hardware
When it comes to any cabinet hardware there are a lot of options! Before you order cabinet hardware, think about a few details:
- Finish. “Gold” can mean everything from bright polished brass to soft brushed brass to champagne bronze. I tend to gravitate toward warmer, brushed finishes because they hide fingerprints better and feel a little more timeless. But, a shiny brass knob is so gorgeous, too!
- Knobs vs. pulls. I like knobs for cabinet doors and pulls for drawers, but there’s no rule that says you have to do it this way! You can mix it up however you want, do all pulls, or all knobs. There are no hard and fast rules here.
- Size. Longer drawer pulls tend to feel more modern, while smaller pulls and cup pulls lean traditional or vintage. That being said, be sure to check the width of your existing holes BEFORE ordering if you already have hardware! Cabinet pulls do not come in one standard size, and you’ll be disappointed if you order something only to realize you have to drill new holes.
- Existing finishes. Don’t stress about matching every metal perfectly. I actually love mixing warm gold hardware with black lighting or chrome plumbing fixtures as long as the overall palette feels intentional. Just make sure to repeat each finish a few times throughout the room and you’ll be good.
Is Gold Hardware Too Trendy?
As I was writing this post I was researching some of the questions people often ask about gold cabinet hardware, and the number one thing I saw over and over was some variation on this. Will gold finishes go out of style? Is it outdated? Is it still in style in 2026?
Here’s my take on the question – gold cabinet hardware is absolutely classic. It will never go out of style. Sure, there are certain lines and finishes that might feel dated at some point. But, hardware is relatively so affordable that even if you want to swap it out 5-10 years down the line, it’s a super easy project!
I highly encourage you to worry less about what’s outdated, trendy, or going out of style. Instead, think about what you love for your home and do more of that – no matter what anyone else thinks!
